As a result, all 60 eighth graders were admitted into at least one Catholic high school and 24 students received a total of 30 scholarships.

Your Lenten Challenge 2008

There is just one week left to the Lenten season. Are you content with the amount of prayer, fasting and almsgiving you have accomplished over the past few weeks? Are you feeling renewed?

WEEK SIX (March 16-22): This is an awesome week in the life of the Church, your Church. Your challenge is to participate in the Lenten activities and services available at your parish/neighboring parishes this week. Volunteer to wash a neighbor’s feet on Holy Thursday. Experience the Stations of the Cross. Listen to the Passion and venerate the Cross on Good Friday. On Holy Saturday, be part of the Service of Light and witness the catechumens become fully initiated members of your Church.

*Remember to abstain from meat on Good Friday!
