Dominican Sisters’ New General Council

The members of the newly elected Central Council of the Dominican Sisters of Amityville, from left, are: Sisters Theresa Gallagher, OP, councilor for Stewardship; Elizabeth McGarvey, OP, councilor for Health and Retirement; Mary Hughes, OP, prioress; Elaine Jahrsdoefer, OP, assistant prioress; Judith Golden, OP, councilor for Common Life; and Alice Byrnes, OP, councilor for Ministry/Study. The new council will take office on June 24 and serve until June of 2013.
