Linda Busetti Photos

The 33rd Annual Brooklyn St. Patrick’s Day Parade stepped off at Prospect Park West and 15th St. on Sunday, March 16, following a 9 a.m. Mass celebrated by Bishop Joseph Sullivan at Holy Name Church, Park Slope. Grand Marshal Raymond Nash, president of Bishop Ford H.S. was joined by his aides, Martin Cottingham, chairman of the Great Irish Fair; Msgr. James Kelly, pastor of St. Brigid, Wyckoff Heights; Michael Fitzgerald, Brooklyn Shamrocks Football Club; Mary O’Neill-Yacono, L.A.O.H.; Patrick Burke, of the Pat Burke Band; Joseph McManus, United Irish Counties of New York & County Leitrim; and Gerard McCabe (A.O.H.).

The parade was dedicated to the memory of Tim O’Dea of County Limerick and Brooklyn’s St. Brendan Hurling Club. The joint theme of the parade was Catholic Education and the Franciscan Brothers’ 150th anniversary.
