Scouting Honors Bishop and

Other Good Scouts

 

The Diocese’s Catholic Committee on Scoutintg held its annual Awards Dinner at El Caribe. Bishop DiMarzio was presented the Silver Beaver Award, Scouting’s highest honor for his dedication to the Scouting movement.

Above, he receives the honor from N.Y.C. Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly and Brian Long, chairman of the Bishop’s Committee, and he is presented a basket of Girl Scout cookies from Kaitlin Long.

Commissioner Kelly and State Sen. Martin Golden, above, were awarded with the Good Scout Award.

Above clockwise, are the winners of the Bishop’s Scouting Citation, the Bronze Pelican Award, and the Elizabeth Seton Award. Bishop DiMarzio also accepted the Quality Diocese Award.
