Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, president and sole member of the Yiddish Sons of Erin, hosted a St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast at Brooklyn Borough Hall on Friday, March 16. Honorees and guests included, from left: Judge Michael J. Brennan, winner of the Judge William J. Bellard Memorial Award; Margaret Keaveney, former director of communications at Catholic Charities, who was named the Irish Woman of the Year; main speaker, Kings County D.A. Charles J. Hynes; Mary Nolan, president of the Commodore John Barry Society; Ed Clinton, winner of the Commodore Barry Award; and Borough President Markowitz.
