Chair from Aqueduct Will Be Used by Benedict XVI

The chair used by Pope John Paul II when he celebrated Mass at Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens in 1995 will be used by Pope Benedict XVI at an interfaith meeting April 17 at the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center in Washington.


The chair, which has a backrest that is 80 inches high, has been on display at the Knights of Columbus Museum in New Haven, Conn., since the Aqueduct event.
