Priests Invited to White House

Four priests of the Brooklyn Diocese have been invited by President George W. Bush to participate in the ceremony that will welcome Pope Benedict XVI to the White House on Wednesday, April 16.


They are Fathers James Cunningham, pastor of St. Mary Star of the Sea parish, Far Rockaway; Anthony Hernandez, pastor of Transfiguration, Williamsburg; Richard Beuther, pastor of SS. Peter and Paul, Williamsburg; and Kevin Sweeney, diocesan director of Vocations.
