This Week’s Tip of The TabletTalk Top Hat goes to Tommy McLaughlin, a Xaverian H.S. grad, who was recently elected to lead the Iona College Pipe Band as Pipe Major. He also served as Pipe Major for Xaverian’s Pipe and Drum Band in Bay Ridge.
Tommy is the son of proud parents, Judy and Tom McLaughlin, of Breezy Point. Upon graduation next year, Tommy plans to continue playing and teaching others bag piping skills while pursuing a career in federal law enforcement.

The first annual Diocesan Family Rosary Rally will be held at Our Lady of Hope’s parish field, Middle Village, on Sunday, June 3, 2-5 p.m., rain or shine.

Cherry Blossom Time

Fifth- and sixth-graders from Immaculate Conception School, Jamaica Estates, visited the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens to view the beautiful cherry blossoms recently. They encountered Japanese performers wearing elaborate costumes and saw Samuari warriors display their skills.
