Photog Dies at Vatican

Daniele Colarieti, 32, a photographer for Catholic Press Photo, which provides photographs from the Vatican and Rome for Catholic News Service, died unexpectedly May 24.


Daniele was in the Vatican audience hall, about to take photographs of Pope Benedict XVI addressing the Italian bishops’ conference, when he fell to the ground.
Efforts by Vatican medics to revive him were unsuccessful.
