Glenmary Father Francois Pellissier will speak at St. Teresa Church, Woodside, during Masses on July 7 and 8. and at Masses at St. Catherine of Genoa Church, Flatbush, July 14 and 15.
He has been invited by the diocesan Mission Office to share about Glenmary Home Missioners’ ministry in Appalachia, the South, and the Southwest United States. Father Pellissier has served in Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Texas and Mexico.
If you are looking for a nice one-day pilgrimage by bus, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Sunset Park, has three coming up. Wednesday, July 11, they go to the St. John Neumann Residence in Saratoga. Leave at 6 a.m. from in front of the church. Return at 7 p.m. $33.
On Saturday, July 14, the bus leaves at 8 a.m. for Our Lady of La Isla, Eastport, L.I. $30. The pilgrimage is sponsored by el Circulo de Oracion.

A Day in the Life of a Bishop

The St. Saviour elementary school community, Park Slope, presented a stole to Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio when he visited recently. Liam Fitzgibbon and Patrick O’Beirne, dressed as bishops, made the presentation, and also read a composition, “A Day in the Life of a Bishop” by the third-graders.
