Congratulations to Nicholas Ali, a recent eighth-grade graduate of Our Lady of Trust School-Holy Family Campus, Canarsie, who was the first recipient of the George K. Campbell Scholarship. This was the first graduation at the cluster parish school.
The scholarship, which was set up through the diocesan Futures in Education Foundation, was named for a young man killed in a car accident last summer. By coincidence Nicholas knew George. They both served in church on Sundays, Nicholas as an altar server and George as an usher.
