Splishing and Splashing at

St. Sebastian's

Stefanie Gutierrez Photo

Participants in St. Sebastian’s Summer Camp prepare to take their “swimming tests” before jumping into the pool at the St. Sebastian Parish Center, Woodside. Camp Director Mary Finnigan, a parishioner at St. Sebastian’s and a teacher’s aide at the parish school, started the program 11 years ago. “It is the only program in Woodside like this,” she said. The six-week summer program begins every year on the first Monday after the Fourth of July. This summer, it began July 9 and will end Aug. 17.
