Futures’ Outing Was All Fore Kids’ Education

More than 245 students attending Catholic schools in Brooklyn and Queens will receive $1,400 scholarships, thanks to the proceeds of Futures in Education’s Angels on the Fairway Golf Outing held at The Creek, Lattingtown, L.I. The event grossed more than $460,000.
In addition to the day of golf, participants enjoyed entertainment by “The Screaming Orphans” from Donegal, live and silent auctions, fine wines, and autographed memorabilia.

“The day is an amazing expression of commitment and genuine concern for the children served by Futures. This endeavor is a huge success because of so many generous people who give from the heart,” said Thomas Flood, diocesan director of stewardship and development.

“There is no doubt that this golf outing is one ‘FORE’ the kids and that Futures’ changes lives through the gift of education.”
