New Principals Named for 16 Schools

Fourteen diocesan elementary schools and two high schools have new principals this fall. Some are seasoned administrators and others are sitting in the principal’s seat for the first time, but all are dedicated to the academic, personal and spiritual growth of young people in Brooklyn and Queens.


The new principals are:

Rudolph Cyrus-Charles – St. Gregory the Great School, Crown Heights


Maureen Rooney – Immaculate Heart of Mary School, Kensington


Evette Ngadi – SS. Joseph and Dominic Academy, Williamsburg


Vincent Bellafiore – St. Mary, Mother of Jesus - St. Frances Cabrini Academy, Bensonhurst


Caroline Donnelly – St. Mark School, Sheepshead Bay


Diana Meringolo - Our Lady of Guadalupe School, Dyker Heights


Sister Joan Gallagher, C.S.J. – St. Joseph’s High School, Downtown Brooklyn


Barbara Gil – Nazareth Regional High School, Flatbush
