On Stage in Bensonhurst

Third- through ninth-graders at Most Precious Blood Summer Theatre Camp, Bensonhurst, presented “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.” The camp continues the relationship between Operation Blessing International and Most Precious Blood. OBI also sponsors an after-school Learning Center at the school serving Coney Island, Bath Beach, Bensonhurst and Gravesend students.
You are invited to an exhibit, “Sacred Hearts, A Journey of Italian Catholics in the Borough of Churches,” Sept. 7-Dec. 30, at the Brooklyn Historical Society, 128 Pierrepont St.
Hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 12-5 p.m. with an opening reception, Thursday, Sept. 6, 5:30-7:30 p.m. A walking tour is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 14, 1-3 p.m.

The parish commends Dattilo for her hard work and notes that the youth group is behind the scenes to make all pastoral ministry events successful, particularly the Soup Supper and the Anointing Mass for the homebound.
Dattilo has been the “guiding force” for the group, who do their work with care and a “cheerful attitude.”

It’s time for the sixth annual Big Mike Golf Classic, Sept. 17, at the North Hempstead Country Club, Port Washington.
The golf outing, in memory of Firefighter Michael F. Lynch, who died on 9/11, supports the Michael F. Lynch Scholarship Fund.
Lynch attended St. Michael’s grammar school, Flushing, and St. Francis Prep, Fresh Meadows. Most of the scholarships have been awarded to St. Michael’s graduates who are going on to St. Francis Prep.
