SFP Community Remembers 9/11/01

The school community at St. Francis Prep, Fresh Meadows, paused from their studies on the morning of Sept. 11 to remember nearly 3,000 victims whose lives were tragically taken six years earlier in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
A prayer service, organized by the Campus Ministry Dept., was held in the school auditorium and broadcast throughout the school via closed circuit television.
Students prayed for universal love, global peace and personal strength to be “the salt of the earth and a light for the world.”
The service closed with the hymn version of the prayer of St. Francis.
