Stewardship Day Next Weekend
Stewardship Day, sponsored by the diocesan Office of Stewardship and Development, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Immaculate Conception Pastoral Center, Douglaston.
Mass at 8:30 a.m. will open the program. Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio will be the main concelebrant. Registration and breakfast will follow.
At 10:05 a.m., after a welcome and introduction by Msgr. John Bracken, Vicar General, the keynote address will be delivered by retired Auxiliary Bishop Robert Morneau of Green Bay, WI.
Three sessions of workshops will make up the bulk of the day. They will follow the themes of Discovery, Discernment, and Discipleship. Each part of the schedule will contain special tracks for pastors, laity, and young people, as well as offerings in Spanish and Haitian.
Auxiliary Bishop Guy Sansaricq will conduct the Discipleship talk in Haitian at 2:25 p.m.
The program comes to an end with a closing reception from 3:15 to 3:45 p.m.
The day traditionally attracts more than 500 attendees.
