New Director For Futures in Education
Terence M. Boyd, an experienced fundraising and institutional planning professional, has been named the executive director of the Diocese of Brooklyn’s Futures in Education Foundation, which develops financial resources that enable youngsters from low-income families to continue their education in the Catholic elementary schools in Brooklyn and Queens.
The appointment was announced by Thomas F. Flood, executive director of the diocesan Stewardship and Development Office.
Boyd is a former vice president for development for the national “I Have a Dream” Foundation. He also has worked in development for Elizabeth City State University, Elizabeth City, N.C., the National Judicial College in Reno, Marygrove College in Detroit and Xavier University, New Orleans, where he earned a bachelor’s degree.
His staff includes Anne Reidy, who is the associate director of the “Be An Angel to a Student” program. She formerly held a similar position with the Inner City Scholarship Fund of the Archdiocese of New York.
