Performers Skoppa and Skritla of the National Theatre in Iceland recently entertained children from Catholic Charities’ 20 day care and Head Start programs at the John Oravecz Child Care Center in Greenpoint. Almost 2,000 children enjoyed the pair whose skits explored colors, numbers, letters and rhymes.

The Food Pantry at St. Gerald Majella, Hollis, continues its good work. But it need your help.
Please bring canned fruit and vegetables, tomato sauce, canned tuna, peanut butter, evaporated milk, rice, and cooking cereals after any Mass by leaving bags under tables in the back of church or bring them to the rectory between 9 a.m.- 8 p.m. Monday through Friday or Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
