Forty-Five Years of Wisdom and Marist Spirit at C.K.R.H.S.

The Commemorative Plaque drew the attention of, from left, Board of Trustees member Msgr. Nicholas Sivillo and Bernard Helldorfer ’73, Alumni Office’s Miriam Mucchi ’72, Sister Laura Algieri ’66 and Brother Mike Sheerin ’69.
Some 45 years ago, a group of dedicated religious men and women came together in a new venture that became known as Christ the King Regional High School. The Marist Brothers and the Daughters of Wisdom laid the foundation for the Catholic education that continues today.
On the Feast of Christ the King, Nov. 25, a group of current and former Daughters of Wisdom and Marist Brothers returned to the school for a 45th anniversary celebration of the high school’s founding. To commemorate this milestone, a plaque was commissioned. The plaque included original drawings by artist Rocco Mirro of a Daughter of Wisdom and a Marist Brother wearing their original habits together with a listing of the names of all the Daughters of Wisdom and Marist Brothers who served at Christ the King.
